Gago Center For Fertility

Dr. Gagos office has been very thorough from the beginning. After having already tried 7 IUIs through another fertility center, it brought me some peace knowing that I was having a more thorough workup with Gago and it made me feel like I could start feeling hopeful again. When I met with Dr. Gago, I felt that she understood the same urgency that I was feeling in getting things moving.

Posting an updated review 7 months later. I was told by this group in October of 23 that it was highly unlikely that I would ever carry a healthy spontaneous pregnancy. Fast forward to September of 2024 and I am currently 7 months pregnant with a healthy baby. PLEASE do your research on who you seek care from and take anything this group says with a grain of salt!!I am ashamed of the fact that I spent 5 months of my time trying to receive care through this practice. I initially was offered one treatment plan that was then rescinded once I tried to elect that course of care, while the reasoning seemed somewhat true it was extremely far fetched and was proved to be incorrect by other medical specialists that were specialized in that area of medicine. The follow ups were completely one-sided with me having to do all the work and advocate for anything to be done for me. I then was on a telehealth appointment for an appointment time of 2 pm. I waited for over an hour and a half and called multiple times to try and get an estimate on how much longer it would be. I understand things happen but the communication was once again one-sided. No one reached out to me to explain there would be a longer wait or anything. I was never even seen after waiting for two hours and being told they weren’t sure when the doctor would be available. And to top it all off when I was upset after having to wait I then was told that “I wasn’t a good fit for the office”. As if it was my fault for being upset that the visit was 2 hours later than it should’ve been. If you have any self worth and value your time do not seek care from this practice. I will attach the transcription of the voicemail where I’m told I’m not a good fit for the office.

Instead of immediately scheduling all the appointments needed. They pushed back the fertility journey by months after my initial consult and then told me I was being rude when advocating for better care and communication. The doctor is pleasant, but I’m awaiting a solution that isn’t “see you in 4 months”.

We met for a consultation with Dr. Weinmann because we are exploring fertility clinics, meeting doctors and trying to find the best fit as we navigate through this expensive and anxiety inducing experience in order to one day have children. Knowing the pricing, the people you’d work with and their process, and any other questions we had were not received well by this doctor. She seemed annoyed that we didn’t just blindly pick a doctor and go with them and was not happy to answer questions or work with us one bit. It left me feeling extremely defeated and like what I did was wrong when I was still in the consultation and testing phase and definitely didn’t have to settle on a doctor or location yet. She acted like we were a waste of time and if we weren’t going to 100% be giving them our money she didn’t want to invest anything to help us make a decision and help direct us on the process. I didn’t feel like she cared about me but rather cared about the money. I want to feel comfortable with the person who will be getting personal with my body and while most people I don’t dislike, some seem to understand more than others. In this case I not only felt uncomfortable, but it has made the hardships and grief of not being able to naturally conceive all the more difficult. I guess she made my decision of which clinic to go to a lot easier… it would have been nice to have an option though once I’d experience how this clinic worked and communicated vs the other we tried. Everyone else seemed nice. But if the doctor isn’t great and that is enough to pretty much ruins the entire experience. We waited long after calling for an appointment and it definitely wasn’t worth it and a waste of time.

Dr. Weinman is thorough, kind, funny -- she really treats you as more than a patient. She always listened, was incredibly patient, and made me feel like family.

The whole experience was effortless! Warm , welcoming and without patronizing attitudes! Dr. You were very helpful , encouraging and most importantly you Listened !!! When 1/2 hour later I called to ask a question that I forgot to ask , your front desk was so very helpful and took the question directly to you and YOU answered !!! So unheard of nowadays. Not to forget the fact that I as a new patient only waited 2 weeks to see you !! Again Thank you

We had our first appointment with Dr Weinman and it went better than we had imagined. She was wonderful, personable, caring and professional. We felt so comfortable with her and are excited to have her support and guidance during this next step in our fertility journey!

Dr. Weinman is incredible. She has so much patience, is incredibly supportive, *listens* (this is a big one since you have to advocate so much regarding health matters), and she is kind. To boot she made me laugh in a stressful situation. Could not recommend her more.

Dr Weinman instantly made feel comfortable as soon as I met her. She was knowledgeable and explained things to me to the point that I barely had any questions. I could tell she was very passionate about what she does. Im very happy I found her!

The entire staff was very caring and compassionate. I walked in full of anxiety, by the time I left I felt calm and like I was heard. Mary was the nurse who did our intake; she was very patient and reassuring that I was in the best hands. She also went over everything with Dr. Weinman before she came in so I would not have to repeat anything. Dr. Weinman listened to our concerns, our unique situation, and took everything into consideration. She answered all our questions and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. We never felt rushed or like we were just a number. My husband and I left with a plan and are hopeful they will help us fulfill our dream of being parents.

The staff here are very consistent, considerate, & always make you feel like you are a top concern. They answer any calls within the same business day & with the patient portal, they can respond to your questions within a few hours. Dr. Stietz is very sweet & makes you feel comfortable during any procedure. Also the anesthesiologist was amazing, very sweet, & helped comfort my fears of going under!

Dr. Weinman has been absolutely amazing. We are so grateful for her guidance and help. Now that we are moving forward in the process, I am terribly sorry not to be working with her anymore, we wish she could be our doctor forever! Her insight, compassion, and patience have been truly invaluable. Without any hesitation, I can say I’ve never felt so comfortable in a medical setting. Dr. Weinman listened to our concerns and wishes without any judgement. We were able to ask anything and received complete honesty. I really valued her approach, treating us as individuals instead of presenting a “standard” approach to care. I can not recommend her enough.

Oh how I wish Id read the reviews before wasting my hard earned money here. All you are is a $ to them. If I could choose 0 stars I would. Hannah and Erin (Brighton location) and Jordan (Lansing) are lovely. The rest are terrible. So many issues as well.I was told I promise youre not broken at my consultation due to polyps and endo. In a sympathetic tone not light hearted. I never felt broken. I have a 4 year old child. With no help- if you can even call this place help. I was told I could do iui 2 times. Anyone in the ttc world knows 2 attempts is almost nothing and not a fair try at all. After surgery no one checked on me or followed up with me about next steps but I received probably 20+ communications about my $30 balance smh. When I arrived for my monitoring appt I had no idea it was a vaginal ultrasound because no one told me. Jordan in Lansing told me how to do a trigger shot in detail because no one else did. My first iui my WASHED donor sperm was marked unwashed- inaccurate. My 2nd iui no one told me what/when to do for another trigger shot- Jordan to the rescue again. For my 2nd iui I was scheduled for iui without anyone actually asking if that day/time worked for me as well as 2 follow-up blood work appointments that got scheduled without speaking to me. When I arrived for my 2nd iui I all of a sudden get told the already washed sample has to be washed again and theyre charging 850 instead of 550. Didnt let me know earlier when I called or any other day after receiving the sample. Just at check in- day of.Horrible communication and scheduling people without their expressed consent for 3 different appointments is insane. Especially for someone who doesnt live in that city or any other neighboring cities and has a job.Speaking of. I had to miss work for my 2nd iui. For an appt that was made without my approval. I drive an hour one way for every appointment. On my way to the 2nd iui I hit 3 separate construction zones on my hour long drive. None of which showed up when I originally gpsed there. I called to let them know what was happening. When I arrived the nurse Mary did everything in her power to make me wait as long as she possibly could because I was running late. Literally went out of her way to put everyone before me that she could even when they werent even ready for any other patient. I was mortified that I just got done paying over $2,300 for this iui and HAD to have this person performing the procedure. Disgusted that I had to be naked, spread eagle with this unprofessional person doing one of the most invasive things possible. My 10 minute iui turned into waiting an hour. I was punished because I didnt prepare for 3 separate construction stops. Meanwhile my son and my mom were waiting for me in the car for an entire hour as well. Some people really shouldnt work with fertility patients.I will not go back, Ill warn anyone who asks not to waste their precious time/money here. Its been nothing but a trail of bad, disappointing experiences. I highly doubt their conception rates are anything reasonable. Its all about the money and milking you for every penny.And spare me the pathetic, robot/automated response about privacy and caring about patients. This office is awful.Take your hard earned money somewhere else!

Unfortunately, Dr. Weinman did not make me feel supported. My inquiries and review of findings made her very defensive and unprofessional. She denied information that she had charted as I saw when I requested my visit notes. As a medical professional I am disgusted with the service and very sad about the time wasted.

Dr. Lena Weinman is seriously the sweetest person ever. One of my most favorite experiences with a doctor ever. I felt so very loved and cared for by her.

It was my first visit and due to COVID I had a tele-health call. The nurse I spoke with on the phone to take my health information was very kind and friendly. Dr. Weinman was very knowledgeable and professional, and she immediately put me at ease. She answered all my questions patiently and clearly and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her!

She’s fabulous, she has been fabulous for our whole infertility journey. She is always very welcoming and helpful. Will answer any questions and always get down to the point. She genuinely cares for her patients not just in regards to medical but all around. It is much appreciated!

Doctor Weinman made me feel at ease with my struggles. She provided my husband and I with useful information. She explained the process easy for us to understand.

I don’t recommend this place . My experience is terrible. I made fist video appointment on 4pm. Nurse call me 4:15 pm said will be delay one hour. I waited one hour doctor no showing called office no one pick up phone. I waited over 2hours around 6:20 pm doctor showed up. 10minutes conversation with doctor. She just said my period started make appointment for test. When I start my period I called them they said all appointments is full let me talk with nurse. Nurse let me use birth control and then next month come to test. I wanna have baby call them they let me use birth control for test. I shucked I don’t think this place is I looking for . I said I will talk with my husband and then call back nurse how we wanna do. I didn’t made appointment . November 8 they call me say I didn’t show up my appointment. I said I didn’t make appointment. After one day they send to me no showing bill $75 . I wanna them listen record I didn’t made appointment for test . I called them no one pick up phone. This place is so terrible. Re: I didn’t get any email or text. If I received email or text I will canceled appointment. So you should check your mail system . Did send to me anything.

Dr. Weinman is everything you would want in a physician. She is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to educate you on anything you may have questions about. I would highly recommend her! The staff has been extremely helpful during our process as well.

They are all super nice and supportive during our fertility journey. They gave us all the information we needed. They’re treatments were quick and easy. My husband and I were able to get pregnant on our third try with doing IUI. We are so grateful that we were able to use their services. Our little girl is amazing!💕

Dr. Weinman was amazing! She never rushed me and answered all my crazy questions. She made sure I was comfortable and explained things so I could relax. I really appreciate her!

Updated update:I received a positive home pregnancy test after 5 miscarriages. The office is horrible about communicating blood test results. Its like pulling teeth to get your own information. This does not feel very proactive.Update:They got me in oh time. Were very prompt and seem very knowledgeable.So far very unimpressed.They were an hour late to the virtual appointment.Scheduling will send you in circles. Dont say you are on a cell phone. This will end the call and the text system will then tell you to call.I was flexible and reschedule my 2nd appointment per their request. Then they tried to change it again day of. Its of course time sensitive so there are only so many days we can do it.They have told me to be ready to wait for hours once I get in for the appointment today.I will update you after. I have to say my friends that said to not go here might be right....

A bit of a longer wait with no one else in the waiting room, as well as the front desk, no one was there upon arrival, but when they noticed us, everyone was super pleasant and helpful. I feel confident with dr. Weinman. I feel she will be greatly help with my personal case. This was our first visit and we were thoroughly impressedThe first time the was good, see review above.2nd time not really. Felt like a burden, had a test done, all the info she gave was it looked ok, and good luck at home. If I was having good luck at home, I wouldnt be in to see you, thatd be pointless. Havent gone back. Take this as you will.

Dr. Weinman is amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and assured. You can tell she is sincere and genuinely cares. I’m so thankful that I have her on this Journey.

I feel so lucky to have Dr. Clark-Stentzs support on my fertility journey! She is compassionate, kind, patient, reassuring, and informative. She outlined my options, noting several reasonable steps to take and was transparent about trade offs and cost. It was a pleasure to meet with her.

Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I felt comfortable throughout my appointment and had all my questions answered. When I left I was well aware of the next steps and the office followed up promptly.

Dr. Stentz and Dr. “D” (the anesthesiologist) was really patient with my fears of sedation. After educating me and answering all my questions, I felt confident going through with my procedure. The level of professionalism at this office is unmatched! I also had wonderful nurses. I am eternally grateful for every talented hand that contributed to my successful outpatient procedure today! De. Weinman is excellent. She is knowledgeable, caring, and explain things in a way that I could easily understand. The staff was friendly and helpful. As an RN myself I give her my highest recommendation.

I had a terrible experience at the Gago Center. I was recommended by my OB after a miscarriage I suffered in October. I was placed in a room, and asked the same set of questions about myself, by three separate woman, at three times. The first one just listened, the next wrote my answers down, and the third confirmed what the first two had said and typed them into a computer. It seemed redundant and an unnecessary waste of time. Then I sat for 40 minutes and waited in a small room with the door shut. I opened the door after I became warm and uncomfortable and asked the status of Dr. Gago. The woman outside my door seemed bothered and I was told the Dr. was very busy. Shortly after, another woman came in to do my ultra sound. She knew nothing about me. I had to tell her, as I told the first three women, that I had recently inserted an IUD. She never read my chart. When she completed the ultra sound, she left the chair leg rests down and the light off, stating someone would be with me shortly. After another 30 minutes, I got dressed, put the chair leg rests back in place, turned on the light and opened the door. I could see three women, including Dr. Gago, outside the door just chatting away. It was very frustrating. After finally seeing Dr. Gago, and giving blood samples, I ended up waiting quite a while longer, just to be told I would be contacted with my results. The appointment in total took 3 hours and 15 minutes.I waited 5 days and called about my blood results. I left a message and waited, but no call back. I followed up again and talked directly to the front desk. I stated it was my second call for my results. I was told again, someone would call me back. They did not. I contacted my OB, and he ended up calling and pushing for the results. They provided it to him, nearly three weeks after my appointment.Overall, I was very disappointed by the way I was treated at this clinic. When you are dealing with miscarriages and fertility issues, it is already very difficult on all levels. The lack of compassion and organization at this clinic, was very frustrating. I would not recommend this clinic or Dr. Gago, to anyone I know.

Dr. Weinman was absolutely amazing. I have had multiple tests and procedures before seeing her and I have never felt the genuine caring and empathetic nature she radiates... she really cares and you can tell. I highly recommend and am so grateful to have found her and Gago IVF.

I’m forever grateful for Dr. Gago and her team. During a stressful time, the Gago team held our hands throughout our fertility journey and treated us like family.The staff made us comfortable and offered compassion. You spend a lot of time at the Fertility Clinic while undergoing bloodwork and procedures... and I looked forward to seeing Dr. Gago and her team. I knew I was in good hands. They made me confident in all of our decisions and trust the process.My beautiful baby boy would not be in my arms if it weren’t for Dr. Gago. I hold a special place in my heart for this Clinic and the miracles they create.

Super friendly and nice. Very Timely responses through the patient portal. Hysterosonogram cost $800 which was about $600 cheaper than through my regular OB-GYN at Sparrow out of pocket. I also like the small office staff, its nice to see familiar faces when returning.

By far the worst fertility clinic. I do have a long list of everything that have piled up, and my post would be huge if I put them all here. In summary, Ive experienced the same complaints as other bad reviews here, lack of empathy, access to information, access to the nurses, no call backs, no consideration for the clients. Because there you are not a patient, just a big dollar sign.

Dr. Weinman is fantastic! You can tell she truly cares about her patients and takes her time to listen to your concerns and go over any questions you ever have.

Before Dr. Weinman, I had seen about 4 different doctors. She was the only one to give me answers that I was searching for for two years. She took the time and listened to me. Now I am on track to finally have my first baby. Absolutely love this place. Would recommend that you visit here first.

I had a polyp removed from my cervix under sedation. Everything went smooth. They were all very nice and made me feel safe and comfortable. I didn’t feel a thing, only a little nauseated after. Never filled my norco prescription, didn’t even need Tylenol or anything. Had minimal bleeding/spotting for 3-4 days. Husband had to wait in the car the whole time due to covid precautions. They updated me on the plan of care afterwards and walked me out.

My first and only appointment took nearly four hours and there was no one in the waiting room. I saw a multitude of staff and each seemed to not know what they were supposed to do - the staff cannot talk to each other. This was just to get a background on me. I was stuck in a closet of a room and could not believe the incompetence. I had to repeat everything with each person who came in. They all seemed to be too busy writing to actually listen to what I was saying.

Dr. Weinman was great! I really appreciated her answering all of my questions and concerns and fitting me into her schedule last minute. Highly recommend!

Great staff. Very friendly, and excellent care. Only issue I had is the communication wasnt all there, and they are super busy. They just seemed to be short handed my last 2 visits. I am assuming it was due to Covid. I would still definitely go there again, because the care is above and beyond.

I had 2 procedures done today. My appointment time was 2 pm I didn’t get out of there till 4:45. There was a lot of wait time in between. Dr. Gago is very good. I just hate all the useless waiting around.

Cannot recommend enough. The entire office is kind and informative - always there to answer all the questions with patience and knowledge. Choosing the right office is hard during such a tough journey & here is the option for you.

Dr. Gago is incredibly knowledgeable and caring, and creates a personalized plan for every patient/couple she sees. We had gone through several rounds of IVF before seeing Dr. Gago. She assessed our situation, determined what protocol and plan was best for us, and as a result, we were able to start and grow our family. We now have three beautiful, healthy children thanks to Dr. Gago and her staff. We are forever grateful!

Awful experience each and every visit:- Wait times were excessive every time - some waits were almost 2 hours past our appointment time- The staff never remembered why we were there in the first place or any specifics to our case until we reminded them- Our case was a little unique in that we had already conceived a healthy boy, but i (the husband) underwent significant health changes and we froze some of my sperm to allow for children at a later date; after 2 visits she tried convincing us In Vitro would be the best route...this of course was after we had already expressed concern over costs of everything while battling ongoing cancer treatments costs.- After speaking with different resources it became clear we were being taken advantage of and on the same regiment as someone with fertility problems - we were not given any custom approach or thought whatsoeverDr Gago had a complete lack of concern over our case, and treated us a means to a paycheck and larger sale, not human beings that genuinely wanted to grow their family. We went elsewhere and instantly had phenomenal experience.

After spending 5 years with this clinic and going through the most stressful, emotional and expensive journey of our lives I can say that if you are seeking fertility services it would be in your best interest to seek at another clinic. Once you become a patient there you will completely understand this statement.
